"Turned away"

About: Cohuna District Hospital / Urgent Care Department

(as the patient),

I went to cohuna hospital as I was having trouble breathing, heavy feeling in the chest. I was turned away without even a nurse looking at me and told to go to Echuca. No drs that’s ok but not even let in the front door

Thank you for alerting me, nitratejz98. I’m disappointed that you’ve been treated in such a manner. We will follow up with the nurse involved to reinforce the correct pathway to treat someone presenting with your type of symptoms. As I don’t have your details, I will give you mine so that I can apologise verbally. In the meantime, do not hesitate to come back to urgent care. If symptoms are a worry, you may need to call an ambulance. Bernadette 54565305.
