"Incredible Midwife Group Program"

About: King Edward Memorial Hospital / Maternity

(as a service user),

When I was first looking at my care options when I found out I was pregnant I knew that I wanted consistency and continuity of care alongside feeling supported and heard by the professionals involved. This is exactly what I received through the midwife group program at KEMH.

I received amazing support through the program. As a first-time Mum I was directed to evidence-based information, my concerns and questions were heard and I was made to feel empowered and supported throughout.

My main midwife, Beck, made me feel so at ease and comfortable and she ensured that that I was informed of my choices and in control of my choices throughout. Beck was an absolute rock and believed in me and built me up throughout my pregnancy, birth and postpartum.

Each member of the team that I met was able to contribute to my knowledge and provide exceptional support and guidance.

The team went over and above to advocate for me during my birth.

As a result of this amazing service I was able to have the birth that I wanted and welcomed my beautiful and healthy baby gal into the world.

I will always be grateful to Beck and to the incredible MGP team and would highly recommend this care pathway to others

Dear EnEmSee6,

Congratulations on the birth of your baby girl and thank you for sharing your story with us. I’m so pleased to hear about the excellent care you received with the Midwifery Group Practice (MGP) at King Edward Memorial Hospital. We are extremely proud of the level of commitment our Midwifery Group Practice (MGP) team bring to their roles and they are always delighted to receive such warm recognition.

Your birthing experience demonstrates the positive benefits of the continuity of care provided by your primary midwife Beck and am pleased to hear the care you received exceeded your expectations. I will be sure that your very kind feedback is passed on to Beck and the wider team. As you've highlighted, the MGP team are incredibly professional and knowledgeable, and we're lucky to have them!

Kind regards,

Delaney
