"Kissing the bitumen!"

About: Fiona Stanley Hospital / Emergency Department

(as the patient),

On the usual mornings ride last week I had a fall resulting in my finishing the journey, not with my riding pals at the Boat Shed for coffee, but at the Ed at Fiona Stanley, courtesy St John ambulance.

Several hours on, following CT scans and an xray, I was cleared of all serious damage other than there was little evidence of a normal brain.  This was evidenced by my stating I would be back on the bike as soon as possible.  Proof positive they said.  The bikes OK by the way.

My sincere thanks to the nurses, doctors and support staff who took care of me whilst in ED and recovering from what was a pretty nasty crash.

Dear BigB,

I appreciate you taking the time to give your sincere thanks to our ED team – I agree, they are a wonderful collection of people, and we are very proud of them. I will pass on your thanks.

And I’m very relieved to hear your bike is ok – it’s the little things isn’t it!

Take care out there on the roads – we don’t want to see you here at FSH again.

Warm regards,

Neil Doverty
