I have been left untreated for my gyno issues for a very long time - about 4 years now including the wait time for the appointment and the wait time for surgery. So I've had to go in to the ED at Fiona Stanley Hospital 3 or 4 times now. 

They've been so wonderful! The doctors and nurses have made me feel really looked after. 

The only complaint I have about the ED is that lack of funding is always rearing its ugly head. No pillows or blankets for patients. Terrible wait times. It's the same reason I haven't had the treatment I need with the gyno unit... Lack of funding to the public health system. Sad that money seems to me to mean more to the people leading our country than the well-being of the people. 

Thank you to all the staff at the ED for looking after me. Your hard work does not go unnoticed and we are incredibly grateful!

Thank you for your kind comments regarding our ED staff – I am extremely proud of all of our staff, and have made sure that your compliment is shared with the ED team.

I can assure you that there are pillows and blankets in the ED, however due to the extremely high volume of patients attending our ED daily (circa 300 – 350), and our strict hygiene standards, ensuring a constant supply of clean pillows and blankets can be difficult particularly during times of peak demands. Our staff will always try to ensure the comfort of our patients to the best of their abilities.
