"Outstanding Care"

On Saturday afternoon my son had developed a temp, and worsening cough.

I presented with him to Perth Children's Hospital, where he was triaged quickly, obs taken and taken into the waiting area very quickly.

Our overall wait time to be seen by a Doctor was very fast, especially considering the amount of people in the waiting room.

The Doctor who saw us, Dr Jennifer, was very kind and caring. She listened to our concerns and repeated the history and symptoms back to us to make sure she fully understood what was going on. She observed my son and took his vitals quickly and compassionately, as my son becomes very distressed around new people.

She sent us off for an xray, which was performed quickly and efficiently, the staff there were very well versed in xraying babies, and were able to get him in and out very fast.

By the time we made it back to the room and sat down, our Doctor and the senior doctor- Dr Fred, were at the door diagnosing my son.

The whole team at PCH were amazing, every single person who interacted with, or even just walked past, was kind and friendly, and did their best to put myself, my partner and our son at ease with a smile and a wave.

I simply could not recommend or sing the praises of the team any more highly.
