(as the patient),

We had Laura as our MGP midwife throughout the pregnancy and after birth and we couldn’t have been happier with her care and support. This was our first baby and Laura went above and beyond to help us feel comfortable and supported. For us, having the same midwife throughout the pregnancy was invaluable and we couldn’t have asked for better care. The maternity unit at Karratha Health Campus provided exceptional care and we couldn’t be happier.

Thank you for sharing your story on the positive experience you had during the birth of your first child with the Karratha Midwifery Group Practice. Many congratulations to you and your family.

Your story highlights the importance of the MGP service to our local community and is testament to the inclusive nature of the intent of the program. Having a known midwife care for you, allows them to focus on you and your pregnancy journey from start to finish, which ensures we can provide great outcomes for you and your baby. It’s great to know you felt you received exceptional care, particularly at such an important milestone. Demonstrating great care is one of the foundations embedded into WA Country Health Service core values.

I look forward to sharing your story with the MGP team and Laura. This is a great reminder for them to know how important and invaluable their role is, day in day out, for all mums-to-be who are cared for through the program.

I wish you well as a new parent. These certainly are very precious days.
