"The wonderful care from the nurse at Coral Bay"

About: Coral Bay Nursing Post

(as a relative),

My husband cut his foot in a boating incident, we were staying at Warroora station so we had to drive 45 mins into Coral Bay.  We arrived at the nurses station, which at the time was all locked up.  I went to the local shop to gather a couple of essential items.  Whilst doing so I noticed a nurse with the title Registered Nurse written on her uniform going through the check out with an ice cream in hand.  I kindly asked the lady if she was from the nurses station, in which she replied she was and she had locked up for the day as it was a Public Holiday and they were open for emergencies only.  I explained to the nurse that my husband had cut his foot and that we were staying at Sandy Point at Warra and asked whether she would please be able to see him.

She kindly agreed to helping him and kindly opened the nurses station back up.

We asked what the nurses name was and we found her name was Jan.  Jan was extremely helpful and did a wonderful job of cleaning and tending to my husbands foot.  She also kindly and generously offered for me to have a shower, This was a real treat as I hadn’t had a proper shower for 4 days as there are no facilities where we were camping!! My husband and I left with big smiles on our faces to have met and have been helped by the lovely, generous and thoughtful Nurse Jan at Coral Bay!

Thankyou, Jan x

(My husbands cut foot has also healed up very well)

Dear Happy Campers

Thank you for sharing your story.

I was delighted to read of your positive experience with Jan at Coral Bay. I have lost count of the number of wonderful stories we’ve received about Jan. They all tell of a compassionate and dedicated nurse, who is committed to providing the residents and travellers of Shark Bay with excellent health care when their time of need comes around.

I will of course share your kind words with Jan, so she knows how much you and your husband appreciated her efforts and I will add my own appreciation for the sterling work she did in assisting you both.

I’m glad your husband’s foot has healed up and I hope you are enjoying your travels.

Regards

Kumar Deep
