I attended Sydney eye hospital emergency department on the morning.
It was a very good service. There was a wide variety of patients all presenting anxiously with various problems.
All the staff were professional and courteous dealing with people who were very needy and anxious.
Two staff members really stand out for commendation.
I have many eye conditions and have spent a lot of time in eye hospitals. Today was a good day.
I was most impressed with the young doctor Michelle. She inspired confidence and answered all my questions clearly. And informatively And I could not have asked for better care.
The other stand out was your front of house man Gowtham who was kept very busy, directing people to the places they needed to go. And there were lots of them with very poor english who were actually needing to go to other buildings as well as emergency.
At all times he projected an air of care and warmth. Nothing was too much for him. And he seemed completely unflappable. He seemed to have an uncanny knack of being able to communicate with anyone , no matter how little English they had. This man would be a credit to any service role. There was a three hour wait , so I had plenty of time to observe him.
The wait was definitely worth it for the fantastic treatment I received.
Well done and thanks.
