I was brought into the emergency by paramedics with significant injuries and in a lot of pain. Most staff were lovely. However one stood out. She introduced herself as Alex a paramedic who would be helping out while doctors did the procedure. I am so very grateful to her. I was in absolute agony wailing and screaming from the pain. She was close beside me speaking softly and calmly and reassuring me. She wiped my tears with a tissue and I felt she was an angel. While I’m so grateful the role each staff member played, for example the person who gave the pain relief, the doctor who attended to my injury etc. Her role was indispensable too. The kindness and compassion I experienced from Alex has left a deep impact on me. Thank you Alex.
