Sydney Eye Hospital/Outpatient Clinic
Recently, was the 3rd follow-up appointment for my spouse regarding a possible onset of Glaucoma.
They were told by their consulting eye specialist at the outpatients clinic on a couple days before, that they will need to come back for a check-up that will involve them being given water to drink over an hour, and their eye pressure would be checked every 15 minutes.
- My spouse registered 15 minutes before the scheduled appointment.- The first time that they were attended to was around 3 hours later
In my opinion, if this is not ridiculous, you may have a better word for it.
We know that we are in the thick of the Public System. But hey, I feel there should be decency, discipline, and deportment that the health system should infuse this trait into your people that deliver such care services.
This is not a complaint. But a sorry observation of what we experienced and saw.
"Outpatient Care! Patients are to be taken seriously, not for granted."
