My husband recently had a gastroscope at Sale Hospital. As a family we have had a number of less than optimal experiences at Sale but this time he was impressed at the professionalism of the staff, speed to action and overall experience. 

Although only in the hospital for a few hours he felt there had been a dramatic improvement across all aspects. In particular, nurse Alex,  in Day Procedures, was outstanding in the care and professionalism he displayed.

Because often negative comments are both heard and read, my husband wanted to call his procedure out as being positive.

My name is Mauricio and as the Perioperative Unit Manager for theatre and Day Procedure, I would like to thank you for taking the time to provide the feedback on your Day Procedure experience. I always welcome any feedback to enhance the service we provide.

Our aim is to ensure every patients surgical journey is a positive experience. The team, and I have been working together to ensure this happens on a daily basis. As a department we do not shy away from both positive and negative comments, but try and learn from them, or build on them to ensure the community has confidence and pride in their local Hospital.
