"Birth- Community Midwifery Program"

About: King Edward Memorial Hospital / Community Midwifery Program

(as the patient),

I applied to the CMP when I was about 20 weeks pregnant and luckily got a spot. This meant I saw the same midwife throughout my pregnancy. This continuity of care was incredible.

Mary-Ann the midwife I was allocated to is everything any health professional should strive to be caring, organised, knowledgeable and presents evidence based information which enables you to make informed decisions.

Mary-Ann and a second midwife Sue-Anne attended my birth in the Kalamunda birthing room. It was like being in a home away from home and with the support of my amazing midwifes I had the birth of my dreams.

Realistically I think everyone giving birth should have access to a program like this but until that becomes possible I feel programs like this deserve more funding and recognition!

Amazing work to all involved in my care with CMP.

Dear phasern38

Thank you for sharing your wonderful feedback, and congratulations on the birth of your baby! I'm pleased to hear about your positive experience with the Community Midwifery Program (CMP) and your midwives, Mary-Ann and Sue-Anne.

Continuity of care truly makes a significant difference, and it's fantastic that you felt supported and informed throughout your pregnancy and birth. We are very proud of our CMP team and the exceptional care they provide. We'll be sure to let Mary-Ann and Sue-Anne know how their amazing support helped you have the birth of your dreams.

Wishing you all the best!

Kind Regards

Barbara
