I had bad painful hips in August /Sept and went to Rockingham hospital to have injections into them. The first was fine but a week later I had another one on the opposite side, after that I had a fall 2 days later. My wife took me to emergency and I was given pain killers.
Two days later yet another fall and back to emerg this time x-rays nothing broken so more pain killers, two days later another fall then another trip and more pain killers, two days later after another fall and me not knowing even who or where I was, my wife called an Ambulance and I was taken once again to Rockingham Hospital.
This was 10AM and at 10PM my wife received a phone call to say they were taking me to Fiona Stanley Hospital When my wife arrived at the hospital the next morning she was told that I had golden staph, after 4weeks of test scans and operations I was well enough to go home.
It was arranged for HITH to help us out. Well everyone who helped including Physios, Silver Chain nurses who changed my pick line and my dressings to the ladies who came and help me shower I could not have asked for better staff everyone was lovely. It not only helped me but also my wife We would like to say thank you all from the bottom of our hearts! It was diagnosed as Arthritis Septis
