"Incredible Care in Joondalup ED"

I attended JHC emergency with what I described as the worst headache of my life - along with swelling. From the moment I arrived I received nothing but world class care and I think the staff in ED should be applauded.

Triage nurses listened to my concerns and I felt I was promptly assessed and monitored while waiting in the wait room. Nurses were around at all times if I needed anything and I was rushed through for blood testing.

The RAT team assessed me, explained their concerns, and escalated CT scans and X-rays all the while caring for many others. They reassured me, relieved my immediate pain and started investigating the issue.

I was then handed over to the general medicine team with Drs Kim and Vicky who continued to make me feel heard and to care about my health.

I felt safe, cared for and heard the whole time in ED and I am grateful to all those nurses and doctors who helped me along the way.
