About: Leongatha Memorial Hospital

(as the patient),

I sat in the treatment chair, and leaning on the arms to adjust, levered myself further on to the chair, when the arms gave way, and the back of the chair tilted forward.

Apparently, similar things have occurred previously. I consider the chair to be unsafe and in need of repair or replacement.

Hello travellertb73

Thank you for taking the time to provide this feedback, we want to ensure client and staff have access to safe equipment when receiving a service here at GSHS.

On discussing your experience with the Podiatrist, it was identified that the previous chair was functioning as you described. In late 2024, we replaced the old chair with a new impressive and comfortable podiatry chair. I trust you will have a much more comfortable experience when you attend your next podiatry appointment.

However if your feedback relates to the new chair, it would be most helpful to discuss this with you. Please can you contact Nicole McFarlane, Director of Allied Health on Ph: 03 5667 5664

Kind Regards,

Jenny Dempster
