My close relative spent six weeks in TCU for assessment to determine their eligibility for NDIS and to help manage their diagnosis of schizophrenia. They are a well mannered person with good morals however they are easily led and manipulated by others.
I feel the medical Facility TCU formed an incorrect indictment of my close relative regarding their accomplice to an incident that occurred at the facility. This incident led to my relative's discharge and I feel has subsequently thwarted their chance of receiving support.
This seems to me to be an unfair and harsh penalisation of my close relative, factoring in their mental illness. I fear what will happen to them now as we are a low socio economic family.
I believe my relative should have been shown some leniency and perhaps received disciplinary action and a caution rather than discharge. Their only intention was too help out their family not to cause harm to themselves or others. They acknowledge that they should not have had any involvement in this and feels remorse for their actions.
I was unhappy with the outcome of the decision. I feel they should not call patients aboriginals and not form prejudice indictments.
