I was struck down and put in hospital with a blood infection after a cut on my toe or a broken bone in my foot wouldn’t heal in January 2024. It was quite an ordeal for me as I had never been to hospital before and I feel it’s quite hard to really get answers from your medical team.
One of my medical team was Jane in the High Risk foot clinic, finally I had someone that would explain everything to me after being in hospital for a week.
Jane has been my rock the last year, I still see her regularly because my infection likes to pop up every now and then if I get any wound on my foot. I hate hospitals but so happy to get my ‘Jane fix’ for the week or month! I’ve cried, I’ve laughed, I’ve been scared, I’ve panicked. I’ve been through it all but Jane just gets me and we end up laughing through it all.
Dr Jane, aka the foot hotline, is a godsend, along with Dr husband (who thinks he knows everything), I am in good hands.
I believe there is no one else like Jane at any medical practice and I truly don’t know how I could have gotten through this year without her and god help us all if she is not at POW!
