"Cataract Surgery and overnight stay at Sydney Eye Hospital"

About: Sydney / Sydney Eye Hospital

(as the patient),

I was discharged last week following overnight stay at Sydney Eye Hospital following cataract surgery the day before.

Leaving aside the professionalism, courtesy, efficiency and general excellent quality of the staff and appointments over the two days of my visit, I had written in the evening following the morning operation via SMS to an old friend resident in Perth the following, and I quote:

“Sydney Eye Hospital?? – best full service motel in town. I might be one eyed at present, but that’s a fact”

So thanks to Professor Con, Mason, Rebecca, Aldrich, Iliana and the many and varied others whose names I did not catch for first rate care and attention throughout a worrying and long awaited surgery and initial rehabilitation.

I have been carefully briefed and instructed on what I should be doing in coming days and weeks, which only leaves for me to find some manner of not looking, after the work and care done by the eye hospital.
