"Treatment from Doctor"

About: Gippsland Southern Health Service

(as the patient),

I currently suffer from severe hyperemesis, doctors have worked together to make a plan so that I attend Urgent Care every 2-3 days, am to be assessed by the doctor and then admitted under Type E so I can receive much needed fluids.

I was recently sitting in Urgent Care with a canula in my arm, waiting for my fluids and all I could hear was Dr [redacted] complaining on and on about my plan, constantly saying “she, her”.

I am sitting here feeling extremely uncomfortable and not wanting to be here.

This is my second time meeting doctor Dr [redacted], the first time was also not pleasant, being extremely sick from hyperemesis, I recall they were rude and blatantly told me there is not much they can do for me.

Every time I have to come to the hospital, I worry now that I am going to be seen by this doctor.

Dear rainsn37,

I'm so sorry that you have been made to feel this way and we will follow up with staff.

I am equally pleased to know that you have a management plan for the hyperemesis, we have been reviewing that plan and the best location for your ongoing treatment. I would welcome the opportunity to discuss with you further. You can give me a call 5667 5696.

In the meantime, I encourage you to seek treatment with us, as and when you need.

Kind Regards

Jenny Dempster
