"Rehab in the home"

About: Rockingham General Hospital SMHS Rehabilitation In The Home (RITH)

(as the patient),

I was recently in Rockingham for a total hip replacement and was really well cared for—nothing but good words. Then, on my release, I had rehab at home. I had a physio come twice; she made me feel more confident with what I was doing, explained the correct ways to stand and sit, brought crutches, and reiterated everything the physio had told me. I felt confident being at home, and you just get a bit more reassured when someone comes to your home, sees what you're doing correctly and incorrectly, and helps you through it.

Dear talonmn83

We are really pleased that both your experience in hospital and in your own home with post hospital care by Rehabilitation in the Home (RITH) was positive. We are very proud of our RITH teams and the important work they do in transitioning people back into their homes and as you state building your confidence to help you through your recovery. We have passed on your feedback to the Rockingham RITH team.
