"Excellent care and treatment for heart attack"

I suffered a minor heart attack and was admitted to emergency on a Sunday morning in Feb 2025.

The care, compassion and treatment I received was outstanding.

A shortage of beds  meant that I spent till 4am in the emergency ward, a situation I fully understood and for which I had no complaints, but noticing my discomfort in the bed, a male nurse  ordered a more comfortable one which arrived just before his shift finished.

I was then taken to the CCU where I was given a room to myself and continued to receive amazing care, prior to and following surgery.

From the staff that delivered the meals , cleaned the rooms, through orderlies wheeling me around to the doctors and nurses, and radiologists

I was treated with care, dignity and compassion.

Each person I came in contact with introduced themselves , explained their part of the process and called me by name.

I felt confident at all times that I was receiving the best of care.

My outcome was positive and am enjoying good health.

A simple thanks very much seemed very inadequate in exchange for the care I received, and though I was able to thank many personally, regretfully there were some I missed. Hopefully this will be an avenue to have my gratitude and praise for the staff and facilities passed to the appropriate people.
