Men's Health Week: A campaign for communities

Update from Care Opinion Australia

Posted by on

In recognition of the upcoming Men’s Health Week (June 12 – 18) the Care Opinion Australia team will be running a campaign to empower men and boys to talk about their care, and to share their feedback with their local health, community and aged care services.

The international theme of Men's Health Week 2023 is Healthy Habits - focusing on encouraging men and boys to build healthy habits by identifying small changes they can make that benefit their health and well-being.

At Care Opinion, men's health matters to us, and we want to empower men and boys to discuss their health and well-being. Ensuring men and boys feel comfortable, safe and respected in the care setting is essential to fostering a healthy relationship with care.

To help us run this campaign we are seeking engagement from health, community, and aged care services, as well as community organisations where men's health matters to them.

We have created a number of physical and digital assets for community groups and health services to utilise all of which are available on the Men’s Health Week campaign page. We encourage you to print out the posters, download the digital images for social media and start the conversation with men and boys about their health care experiences.

We believe healthy habits start with a healthy relationship with care.

We would also like to take this opportunity to announce the all-new and subtitled, ‘How to tell your story’ video is now live on the Care Opinion vimeo website. If you are thinking about sharing your story and not sure where to start, check out the video here:
