"Out of my mind with worry."

About: Bentley Hospital / Ward 5

(as a relative),

My mother was transferred from (Royal Perth Hospital) RPH to Bentley Health Service - Rehabilitation on Wednesday my mother is in the Stroke Rehab. Her right arm is paralysed. Recently I arrived to find my mum slumped in bed with the nurse button on her right side unable to get help. I was annoyed and told the nursing staff  and they apologised.

Following this I arrived one the morning to my mum not in a good way, I asked about her medication and found out that her necessary pain relief medications  not written up when transferred from RPH, which meant Mum went without any pain relief for 36 hours!  The condition I found my Mum in was terrible. She was having withdrawals from not been given her pain relief.

When I pointed this error out to the the doctor on duty at the time the doctor sincerely apologised, however it doesn't help the fact that if I had not asked, my Mum could be dead by now.

I was searching for the Patient Liaison Officer website to lodge an official complaint and could only find this site.

The next time I visited Mum to find that two nurses were incorrectly transferring my mum and I walked in to see my mum almost on the floor. Two nurses asked me to press the nurse assistant button because they left it on the opposite side of the bed and they couldn't let my mum go because she would have ended up on the floor! I was beyond angry. I had the coordinator there addressing this and apologising. I've now had three serious incidents in only three days! Do I feel safe? do I feel secure that my mum is in safe hands? Do I trust the staff? No, I don't.....

I am going out of my mind with worry. Apologies just are not good enough three days admission and one incident a day! This is not good.
