Hi,

I have recently been excluded from the King Edward Family Birthing Centre, I believe completely unfairly and for no good reason.

This will be my 4th child to be birthed in the birthing centre and 3rd with the same midwife.

I have looked up the exclusion criteria and I feel I am not at any risk for concern. I lost 500ml and 750ml with my second and third with no other complications and I believe this is their only reason for exclusion. 

I am extremely upset and disappointed and I would like to discuss face-to-face with a GP.

I am very anxious about delivering in a completely different environment and with a different midwife when I have had such a lovely experience with the family birthing centre and with my midwife over the past 6 years. All of my births have been quick, easy and complication free.

I feel I am being treated very unfairly and I would like a reason for this.

Thank you for bringing this matter to my attention. I completely understand your anxiety at being denied access to our continuity of care model in the Family Birth Centre.
