"Tear to retina"

About: Sydney / Sydney Eye Hospital

(as the patient),

On a Sunday morning while about to make a coffee I suddenly experienced "floaters", black squiggly lines,"spider webs" and various changing shapes in my right eye. It was incredibly disorienting and I was worried that I may have been suffering a detaching retina.

After excellent service from a nurse on  the telephone  health helpline I was driven to the emergency department of Sydney Eye Hospital

Dear sunfn54

Thank you for sharing your experience on Patient Opinion. The sudden change in your eyes must have been a very worrying for you and I am glad you were helped by the helpline nurse and directed to the Sydney and Sydney Eye Hospital where the staff are highly skilled in Eye problems.

I hope your eye ‘floaters’ are resolving and all the best.

Kind regards

Jennie
