"Emergency department waiting times"

About: Sydney / Sydney Eye Hospital / Emergency Department

(as the patient),

I have been kept waiting for 4 and a half hours and all that has happened so far is that a nurse has given me eye drops. Two hours ago.

I have not seen a doctor. No-one has been called in for two hours. What kind of consultation takes that long?

I felt frustrated, kept in the dark, not valued as a patient. The information system is grossly inadequate, to say nothing of the medical services themselves.
