"Amazing staff at Bunbury Regional Hospital"

About: Bunbury Hospital / Emergency Department

(as a parent/guardian),

Recently my toddler put their teeth into their lip. After speaking to health direct a few hours later it was recommended we go into Bunbury Regional Hospital (BRH) ED to get it checked as we were having a few issues stemming the bleeding completely.

In true Murphy’s style it stopped bleeding on the journey in, but all three ladies, the triage nurse, clerk and fast-track doctor were great with my toddler and I. Efficient and friendly, they really took the time and effort to make my little one feel comfortable (even being given a little colouring in pack!) and to make sure all teeth were in place and that the injury would heal fine.

I can appreciate working with young and upset children can be very taxing if they don’t want to cooperate, so the fact that they recognised this and put in that little bit of extra effort made all the difference between a screaming examination or a peaceful one.

Thank you BRH!

Dear runningqn54

Thank you for taking the time to provide this lovely feedback following your recent experience at Bunbury Emergency Department with your toddler.

It is always distressing when little ones are injured or unwell so I am delighted to hear that you found the service efficient, friendly and reassuring.

I trust your little one has made a good recovery and hopefully will not be frightened in the event of ever needing to come and visit us again in the future

Kind Regards

Denise Clement
