"Hospital stay"

About: Armadale Hospital / Emergency Department

(as the patient),

Came into ED at request of GP due to pain in back was in the ED for less then 40 mins told here take Tramadol and come back in few days if it gets worse. The doctor's comment was I don’t know what else we can do for you. Well if he doesn’t know then who does, cos giving pain killers out without doing tests, in my opinion, is not good. I won’t be back to ED at Armadale again.

Dear inpainandupset

I am very sorry and sad to hear of your experience at our Emergency Department (ED) recently. Having patients leave our hospital feeling upset and still in pain is definitely not something we want.

I would really like to look into this matter further and identify where we could have done things differently to improve your overall patient experience. I wonder if you would consider contacting us to allow us the opportunity to discuss this with you in more detail. Our Consumer Liaison Officer can be contacted on either (08) 9391 1153 or AKG_ConsumerLiaison@health.wa.gov.au.

Thank you for getting in contact with us, and I do hope we hear from you soon.

Di Barr
