About four months ago, my relative was admitted to Sir Charles Gairdner hospital through the emergency department. Unfortunately, whilst dealing with the initial diagnosis, he was also diagnosed with dementia and after the surgical ward released him was then sent to ward C16. He has now gone on to Selby Clinic.
I would like to point out while the facilities, especially the mental health facilities, are somewhat run down and in dire need of a major face lift, the care shown by your staff was nothing short of magnificent.
The people treating my relative, from the doctors to nurses, allied health, social workers and support staff, all the staff attending us, need to be recognized and applauded.
The care not only shown to my relative but also to my wife and her sister was, and continues to be second to none!
Our entire family is so grateful for the care afforded all of us during what has been and continues to be a difficult time.
"Staff care in Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital should be applauded."
