"Appreciation for nursing staff care"

About: The Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital

(as a relative),

My parent was admitted to the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital for a cataract related eye operation. The level of care given by the nursing staff, particularly by Robin who looked after my parent during most of their stay was much appreciated.

Any kind of surgery is stressful for a patient, but given sight is of such fundamental importance to us all, eye surgery even more so. Robin went to great lengths to make my parent less anxious and more comfortable during their stay, especially when there was a lengthy delay in getting their turn in theatre. Robin remained highly professional and never wavered in caring and showing kindness and understanding for any patients in my parent's ward during what seemed like a long shift. So many thanks Robin and the RVEEH staff.

Dear hydrusbq89,

Thank you for taking the time to provide such lovely feedback about your recent experience at our hospital, and in particular about one of our nurses Robin.

At the Eye and Ear Hospital we strive to provide an excellent service and high-quality care to all of our patients.

I’m glad to hear that everything went smoothly for your parent’s surgery and will be sure to pass on your comments to Robin and other staff who work in the operating theatres and the ward.

Kind regards,

Elise
