About: Monash Children's Hospital / Monash Newborn Monash Medical Centre / Emergency Department

(as the patient),

We couldn't have been any more happier to have had our triplets at Monash Health.

The ambulance staff responded to our emergency call at 2 am in the morning within 5 minutes and whisked my wife to Monash Health within 15 minutes.  We couldn't have asked for better care than what we received at the hands of staff working in Monash Fetal Monitoring Unit, Emergency Department, Monash Children's Sunbird NICU and Special Nursery.

Medical, Admin and Nursing Staff were very professional, available to talk to us anytime, gave us education and updates on the babies wellbeing whenever we visited and whenever we called into Sun Bird NICU / Special Nursery. Made us (Parents/ Grandparents) feel very comfortable and supported upon every visit.
On one occasion one of our babies had a diminished blood supply to their arm following a procedure to insert a Peripherally inserted central catheter (PICC) line. We were informed of a potential risk for the baby losing their fingertips due to loss of blood supply. The medical team followed an open disclosure, kept us in the loop with treatment options and progress. We were very happy with the outcome of the baby's arm recovering fully.
We are so fortunate to have an organisation like Monash Health and Monash Children's for the population of South East of Melbourne.
