"Long wait in the Emergency Department"

About: Busselton Health Campus / Emergency Department

(as a parent/guardian),

My baby was sick for the last 3 weeks and we went to the Emergency Department every week and we feel that they never took any strong action and just gave Panadol and sent us back.

This time we waited for almost 3 hours at night but no doctor came. Shortly after we arrived a nurse came and gave Panadol to my baby and told us that the doctor will come soon. The nurse was saying almost 1 hour that the doctor will come soon.

My baby was crying continuously for 35 minutes and one nurse came and touched my baby's chest and said, the baby is fine, don’t worry and the doctor will see you soon. But still, we waited another 1 hour and 20 minutes.

All together we waited nearly 3 hours and no one came. I feel that that’s the worst experience ever. I just want to ask what kind of Emergency Department can’t see patients on time.
