My recent experience in ED and the ward

About: Geraldton Hospital

I recently had chest pains for an extended period of time. Finally went to the Emergency Department early one morning just to be sensible. Talk about professional.

BOOM, before I knew it I was in a bed, having tests, being treated, getting advice on what my options were, encouraged to take it seriously & seek expert opinion in Perth.

The doctors, nurses, everyone were exceptional. They went the extra mile & organised the Royal Flying Dr, my bed in Perth at Sir Charles Gairdner, my transport. The whole box & dice.

I wish I could remember everyone names as so many people deserve a special thank you for their absolute care & devotion, to supporting me while I was unwell.

Dear Top service,

It was wonderful to read about your positive health care experience with our team at the Geraldton Hospital Emergency Department. Thank you for taking the time to share with us on Patient Opinion particularly in what must have been an extremely stressful time for you.

We are very fortunate to have such caring, dedicated health professionals working for our organisation and it's stories like yours that allows us to acknowledge the great work our front line staff do each and every day. I will ensure your kind words are passed on to the team.

Thanks again for taking the time to write, I hope you have recovered well and I wish you all the very best for the future.

Kind regards,

Michele Young

Coordinator
