"Person centred care for Debby"

About: Prince of Wales Hospital / L4 NCCC - Haematology Oncology Day Centre (HODC) Prince of Wales Hospital / POWH Inpatient Palliative Care (Prince of Wales Hospital)

(as a relative),

Our family are appreciative and would like to acknowledge the care provided to mum at 4N Hematology and oncology ward of POWH with special mention to Cooper RN. Cooper has been very compassionate to mum and our family. She ensured that we are well informed with what is happening, updated us each time we visit and respected our wishes and decisions for mum’s care on her end of life care. She provided a respectful care to mum and ensured to collaborate with us in every procedure. We feel that Cooper valued our concerns by listening to us and not being abrupt and ensure she follows through any pending queries to keep at ease.

Cooper modelled the person centred care to us and provided a dignified care to our mum. Thank you for empowering the nursing profession by modelling the best nursing practice and culture for nurses. We wish you all the best for the rest of your new grad years. Please continue what you do in leading  person centered care for every patients.

Dear Shomershabbos,

Thank you for taking the time to share with us your recent experience in our hospital during your mother’s admission.

We are very grateful for your kind words of recognition of our clinical staff who were involved in your care in particular our GradStart Registered Nurse Cooper.

We strongly focus on Person Centred & Compassionate care which is delivered with the highest standard especially patients are in the very challenging stages of their lives.

We are delighted to read how impressed you were with your mothers' experience and how grateful you are for the staff's dedication and professionalism. We will make sure that your kind words of gratitude and appreciation are shared with Cooper and the rest of the team.

Kind regards,

Inge Vuuregge

Co-Director of Nursing & Operations- NCSR
