"My experience with the family birthing Centre"

About: King Edward Memorial Hospital / Family Birth Centre

(as the patient),

I had an incredible experience at the family birthing centre, all the midwives I met were extremely helpful and supportive throughout my pregnancy and postpartum experience. Having a primary midwife to see throughout the pregnancy was so reassuring when it came to my birth and I was confident my midwife knew all my history and preferences, I felt 100% supported in my choices and expectations for my birth. Even though things didn’t go as planned for my birth i was still supported and felt I was in great hands during the whole experience. I will definitely be coming back to the family birthing centre when I have another baby and based on my experience I recommend all woman to consider them for their births!

Dear librabe88

Congratulations on the birth of your baby and thank you for sharing your story with us. Your experience at the Family Birthing Centre(FBC) at KEMH sounds truly remarkable! It was lovely to read about how the support of your primary midwife meant so much to you throughout your pregnancy, and how you felt so well cared for even when things didn’t go as planned for your birth.

Our teams are always delighted to receive such warm recognition, and we’ll be sure to let the FBC team know how much their care meant to you.

Best wishes

Delaney
