About: King Edward Memorial Hospital / Family Birth Centre

(as the patient),

Had a great waterbirth experience last week to deliver my second baby supported by my fantastic midwife Leah. The family birth centre model empowered me to make decisions that were right for me throughout the pregnancy and the environment for birth was far more supportive and relaxed than I experienced in hospital with my first. I would definitely recommend the birth centre route!

Dear watercr99

Congratulations on the birth of your second baby. It sounds like you had an incredible experience at the King Edward Memorial Hospital (KEMH) Family Birthing Centre! It's wonderful to hear that you felt so supported and informed by your primary midwife, Leah, throughout the entire process. The way she provided evidence-based answers and ensured you were comfortable with every decision must have been so reassuring.

We’ll be sure to let Leah know how much her care meant to you and your family.

Best wishes

Delaney
