"The great care I got during my pregnancy and birth"

I had the privilege of being supported by the Family Birth Centre throughout my second pregnancy, and I truly couldn’t have chosen a better place. From the very first appointment to the postnatal care, I was surrounded by a team that was kind, respectful, and incredibly professional.

My main midwife, Claire, was absolutely amazing. During the antenatal period, she cared for me with such warmth, patience, and attention. She always made time to listen to my worries, answer my questions calmly, and remind me of my own strength. On the day of labour — the most important day — Claire stayed by my side with such calm and confidence that I felt safe and supported the whole time. I will never forget what she did for me. She believed in me and in my body, and because of that support, I was able to have the birth I had always dreamed of.

Even during the postnatal period with home visits, the level of care never changed. I never felt alone for a moment. I believe the team at the FBC does such meaningful, human work — treating every mother and baby with love and respect.

My daughter was born surrounded by peace and care, in an environment full of love and professionals who genuinely care. I will be forever grateful to Claire and all the midwives who supported me through this journey. The birth of my second daughter was healing and transformative — and that was made possible by the care I received at the Family Birth Centre.
