"Not follow up for ultrasound on prostate referral"

About: Kalgoorlie Health Campus / Medical Imaging

(as the patient),

I asked at MIT reception about a referral that was emailed to them for an Ultrasound scan on my Prostate. 

I forget when the Referral was sent but it could have been in December 2024.  

A Phone call was made to my mobile phone, which got no answer at the time, in February 2025.

My enquiry was in early August.

I never received a letter or a SMS to my email address, up till I enquired recently.

Obviously some procedures weren't followed, but I was a little dismayed as these processes are usually followed.

I have spoken with our Medical Imaging and Outpatient teams and they do not have any record of receiving or processing a prostate ultrasound referral on or around the dates you mentioned. I apologise for the distress this might have caused and our priority is to ensure you get your scan completed as soon as possible.
