"Birth with Rebecca @ MGP- King Edward’s Memorial"

About: King Edward Memorial Hospital / Maternity

(as the patient),

I would like to express my gratitude to Midwifery Group Practice- especially Rebecca, for her outstanding care throughout my pregnancy journey.

Rebecca was nothing short of amazing throughout my whole journey.

Her professionalism, ability to educate me (even as a second time parent), care of my birth plan & compassion was incredible.

This has been my second time to birth through the Midwifery group Practice at King Edward’s & if I wasn’t already sure the first time that it made a difference I sure am now… I had said from my first experience that having the same midwife (& back up midwife) throughout my journey made such a difference in giving me confidence & support the whole way through.

Throughout my labour I felt deeply supported with my birth plan followed through each step of the way.

I was lucky enough to have a quick birth with The environment made calm, positive & reassuring by Rebecca (& helper Liana).

Both myself & my husband couldn’t believe how quick & calm it all went. Both ladies also fully including & keeping my husband informed & part of the process too.

I was discharged the following day & my aftercare continued at home for the next few days with home visits from Emma (as Rebecca was delivering some more babies). Emma also was so lovely, reassuring & very knowledgeable.

Overall I felt safe, respected & well cared for every step of my journey. The genuine care from Rebecca, Buddy Belinda, Emma & everyone I saw at MGP was evident from every appointment I had attended throughout pregnancy, labour & postnatally.

Based on my experience I feel this level of care is incredible & should be available to all women giving birth here in WA.

Dear earmarkjf45,

Congratulations on the birth of your second baby and thank you for sharing your beautiful story with us!

I was so pleased to read about your positive experience with our Midwifery Group Practice (MGP), and especially the compassionate care you received from Rebecca, your primary midwife. Your reflections on the MGP model during your pregnancy, birth, and postpartum journey are truly appreciated. Your story highlights the powerful impact of continuity of care, and we’re so pleased that you felt safe, supported, and well cared for throughout.

We will be sure to pass your kind words on to Rebecca, Belinda, Liana, Emma and the rest of MGP team—they will be touched to know the difference they made. The fact that you would recommend the MGP is a testament to our team and the wonderful care they provide.

Thank you again for your heartfelt feedback, and we wish you and your family all the very best.

Delaney
