About: King Edward Memorial Hospital / Maternity

(as the patient),

I delivered my first baby this year and also am a midwife at KEMH. Unfortunately I had incidences of my colleagues sharing my private information while I was in labour. First my CTG was being viewed by colleagues who were telling other staff I was in labour….

I then had a ‘friend’ and colleague sharing my information with a friend of ours who is not employed at KEMH. Private information about my labour and birth were shared and even the surprise gender of my baby. I am beyond disappointed in the staff and believe if I was to report this nothing would happen anyway which is why I haven’t….
