"Inconsistent signage"

About: Busselton Health Campus / Surgical Services

(as the patient),

We were told to be at Admissions at 7.10am.

Reception was closed and intercom did not work.

Fortunately a staff member informed us the we needed to go to Day Surgery on the 1st floor. We saw that sign next to the lift, all good.

Coming out of the lift, there was no sign for Day Surgery, but we turned left as instructed and found Surgical Services.

Is it; Admissions, Day Surgery or Surgical Services?

Consistent labeling would be appreciated :-)

Hello Warwick,

Thank you for alerting us to the inconsistent signage and messaging that you experienced trying to get to Day Surgery at Busselton Health Campus.

I can entirely appreciate how confusing that would have been for you. We did attempt to make the sign near the elevators stand out more, but I understand now that if you do not know where to go in the first place then you will not automatically go to the elevators to be able to see that sign! I do apologise for that.

Please know that this is something that I will work with our Day Surgery Team to rectify and we will ensure that we provide consistent messaging in all written and verbal communication to our patients that visit us.

I hope that otherwise your experience at Busselton Health Campus was positive and that you or your family member has recovered well.

Kind regards,

Gemma Moyes

A/Director of Nursing and Midwifery, Busselton Health Campus.
