Had an appointment to see spinal surgeon at rph hostpital wa.. They never even came out of their office to have face to face appointment with me. Their registrar referred me to neurologist at level A rph and I had my appointment today only to be told they can't treat me as they don't know what's causing my problem.
To my understanding neurologists deal with spinal brain muscles and nerve problems. I have degenerative disc disease and problems rising from a seated position. The assessment with neurologist today was the same assessment I had with the registrar who referred me from spinal department.
Neurologist told me they can't treat me as they think it could maybe fibromyalgia! Well isn't that a nerve disorder? and their speciality!
I'm passed off again with no explanation as to what's causing my problem. I was made to feel like im not being believed and it's all in my head.
No confidence in Being treated at RPH anymore.
Came home to a feeling of not being heard because I don't fit the neurologist criteria for all what they look for in their neurological assessments. When are they going to learn that people with pain on a daily basis are not putting it on. ..They need to be heard! ..Not dismissed because, in my opinion, neurologist can't expand their minds to listen more and not just stick to a box of set symptoms for making their diagnosis.
Very disappointed 😞
