My mum told me the nurses were really nice to her, explained I had a few complications but I was okay and asked if I was usually pale, she said no.
Each staff member I came in contact with from reception to the recovery ward were really nice and treated me with respect. When I’m nervous I tend to ramble to distract myself. Everyone made me feel heard even if it was random stuff. I feel like I “fell asleep” quickly so yay!
When waking up I heard the nurses say my blood pressure was low and they sounded a little concerned so kept the cuff on me they gave me water, juice and food and I felt like I was in safe hands, in the past I have freaked out when waking up in recovery wards but everyone around me was calm and helpful which helps keep me calm. I also like that I woke up with extra blankets so I was really warm that was nice since I hate waking up cold.
