About: King Edward Memorial Hospital / Family Birth Centre

(as the patient),

I had such a positive and empowering birth experience at the Family Birth Centre. From the moment I arrived, I felt calm, supported and genuinely cared for.

Steph and April, the midwives who looked after me, were absolutely amazing. They were so kind, reassuring and attentive throughout my labour. They created a really safe and relaxed environment, which helped me stay focused and confident during the entire experience.

I felt listened to and respected in all of my choices, and nothing ever felt rushed or pressured. Their support made such a difference and allowed me to have the birth experience I had hoped for.

Dear camelopardalispd74,

Congratulations on the birth of your baby and thank you for taking the time to pass on your heartfelt thanks for the care you received through the family birth centre (FBC). I was so pleased to read how supportive and reassuring Steph and April were during your labour, which allowed you to have the birth you had hoped for.

At the Women and Newborn Health Service we are extremely proud of the reassuring support and guidance our FBC midwives provide, and I will be sure to pass on your kind words to Steph and April so they can be made aware of the positive difference they are making in their patient’s care.

Wishing you and your family all the best.

Kind regards,

Melinda
