On 10 April, we were involved in a car accident while driving, and it was one of the most frightening moments for us. During the wait, we were very fortunate to have two kind members of the public stay with us and continuously reassure us. We are also deeply grateful for the care, professionalism, and support from St John’s Voluntary Ambulance, Deb + Milly (Kalbarri Crew), the Police Officers in Northampton, Tariq, Shane, Northampton Nurse Staff, Thanyia (RN), P.C.A Chelsea, EOC Monica, MJ (BO NHSM), Night Duty Mary (RN), and Farrah (EN).
After we were transferred to Geraldton Hospital, we were incredibly thankful for all the departments there who acted quickly to carry out the necessary checks and treatment, making sure that we had not suffered any major injuries. At the hospital, MJ was especially caring and attentive — not only did MJ carefully check on both of us and comfort us when we were feeling shaken and overwhelmed, but also kindly helped us bring our luggage back to our accommodation after we were transferred.
Looking back, we truly feel so lucky to have received so much care, kindness, and treatment from so many wonderful people during such a difficult time. Thank you to everyone who helped us through this experience — we will always remember and appreciate your support.
