"My adult child became severely addicted to alcohol"

About: Lives Lived Well - Mackay

(as a parent/guardian),

Within a short period of time their life began to fall apart. Loss of employment & court matters as a result of their addiction. Our family felt lost confused & very fearful about their future.  It impacted us greatly.

My child saw & continues to see the Clinicians there during their stay in rehab & now as they are about to come out of rehab.

As do we the family.

The advice education & care on both sides have been invaluable. Everyone has felt seen heard & supported every step of the way.

This service is so vital for any person or family experiencing addiction.

Thank you for sharing your story. Dependence on any substance affects not only the user, but the family, community and reaches further into finance, stability and safety. Reaching out and seeking help is a very brave thing to do when things seem so hopeless.

You have done that, and seeking help for yourself and your child is so amazing. It is wonderful to read that the team at Mackay have been able to help you navigate this part of your lives and provide you with the tools to get through and make better.
