About: King Edward Memorial Hospital / Family Birth Centre

(as a service user),

I had the most wonderful care at the Family Birth Centre in Subiaco for my third birth of my baby boy. 

Mimi was our midwife and it’s safe to say we hit the jackpot with her.

From my first phone call, to first appointment and all throughout my pregnancy, birth & postpartum she was warm, open, professional, caring, and made me feel at ease.

The model of care at the FBC is truly special. To be able to have my appointments and birth with Mimi made it all such a positive experience. I wish more mothers had access to this model of care… and had access to midwives like Mimi! 

You can tell she really cares about her work, her mamas she supports and the babies she helps bring into the world.

Congratulations on the birth of your baby boy, and thank you for taking the time to share such kind thoughts about your pregnancy and birth experience. I loved hearing how well supported you felt throughout your pregnancy journey, birth and post-partum period, and about the care and support Mimi provided at such a special time for you and your family.
