"Midwife care at the FBC"

This was my second birth through the Family Birth Centre, and once again it was an incredible experience. My most recent pregnancy and birth journey was everything I could have hoped for, and a huge part of that was thanks to my midwife, Danika.

From our very first appointment, I felt truly heard, supported and respected. Danika always took the time to answer my questions, provide evidence-based information and ensure I felt comfortable and confident in every decision throughout my pregnancy. I never felt rushed and my wishes were always respected.

My toddler attended almost every appointment with me, and Danika was so wonderful with her.

Although Danika wasn’t on shift when I went into labour, I was cared for by another lovely midwife from her team who provided excellent support. The continuity of care was evident and I felt completely safe.

I had the most beautiful birth experience and precious golden hours afterwards at the Family Birth Centre. I was able to achieve the water birth I had always dreamed of and I will forever be grateful for the care I received.

I cannot recommend the Family Birth Centre and Danika highly enough. Thank you for helping make one of the most important experiences of my life so positive, empowering, and memorable.
