"Family birth centre"

I had my first baby recently with support throughout my pregnancy and birth from the amazing midwife team through the Family Birth Centre. Steph was my midwife throughout the pregnancy and she always provided very clear, comprehensive and patient centered advice. I had a long labour, and was supported across it by a number of midwives including Olivia, Katie, Tash and Megan. My experience labouring at the birth centre was wonderful - I was able to move around and labour exactly how felt natural to me.

After a very prolonged labour I made the decision to go up to the hospital and ended up having some complications which required support in the form of an assisted delivery. The midwives from the birth centre came with me, continued advocating for me which I appreciated in a now busy/overwhelming hospital environment & stayed throughout the delivery. The care was amazing from beginning to end, as was the care from the medical and surgical teams in the main hospital and the teams on the ward while myself and my baby recovered.
