My birth didn’t go to plan as I needed an induction when I was planning a natural spontaneous labour.
However my birth was a great experience in the end and a big part of that is the wonderful midwives from the Family Birthing Centre.
Steph who was my primary midwife was incredible throughout my pregnancy, I felt informed, educated and as prepared for birth as I could be. During my birth Steph was the biggest support and advocate and she truly made the experience as positive as it could be. She worked so hard throughout the night and I couldn’t be more grateful to have her by my side on that night or throughout the pregnancy.
I also had Mimi and Sophie during my birth and they also delivered excellent care and advocated for me and the birth I was aiming for. And Olivia was a great support post birth and helping with breastfeeding.
Thank you so much to Steph, Mimi, Olivia and Sophie and to all the other FBC midwives - you are all so hard working and lovely.
